Week in Photos: Runs & Weddings

For some reason, Mother Nature knows to rain and downpour when I have outdoor activities. It has rained every weekend when I have a major event to attend or partake in, and then the weather ends up being gorgeous the following Monay…what’s up with that?!

Friday night WP and I went up to Maryland to eat homemade pho. It’s only been my second time having homemade pho and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. We were carb-loading for the Baltmore Marathon Relay we were running the morning after and I wanted to have a second bowl…but decided against it. Biggest regret ever. I don’t have a picture of the delicious pho but Yogi did make a new friend, Eddie (the cutest 4 pound rescue Morkie). Yogi never has played with a dog smaller than him but it was the cutest thing ever. He looks like a wildabeast next to the small thing.

Suited up in all pink, all Under Armour for race day the next morning. I was literally a walking Under Armour ad from head to toe. Literally. For a day when it was raining I love the Under Armour dry-fit cold gear because it dries quickly and doesn’t weigh your clothes down. Work out clothes have and will always be my obsession, next to shoes and purses.

I kind of went on a rampage (key word: kind of), buying black shoes for the winter season. I jumped on buying these ever coveted and trendy black ankle-strap heels from Windsor and I am so glad I finally bit the bullet. It’s a bit cold to wear these now but I know they will come handy in the future 🙂 I also needed (key word: needed), these ankle cut-out booties (also from Windsor). I can’t wait to style these with casual outfits during the winter! The last pair of shoes I got were a pair of D’orsay studded flats from Forever 21. I never gravitate towards flats but I’ve bee on the hunt for a pair that was still stylish and could get away wearing to work. These were perfect.

fwaefwaefWP and I attended our (and my) first wedding this weekend! The bride and the entire wedding was so beautiful and I’m glad it stopped raining midday on Saturday. I wore this mint Ecote dress I snagged from Urban Outfitters over the summer for $20 (originally $200!). I accessorized it with a mint/blue statement necklace and my mint/blue heels. It was a bit matchy matchy but not over the top for a wedding 🙂

I hope you all had a great weekend! Now time to drink my second cup of coffee and get to work on Columbus day…
