Purse Picks: Black Basics

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, filled with lots of food, gifts, and friends+family :). This year I kind of went on a major shopping spree for my parents’ gifts (iPad, wine air-rator, cheese board) and was so happy I did because they absolutely love it!

I also did some major damage for myself which led to this blog post. If you know me, I love buying things that are classic, but have a modern twist. It has to be unique, a statement, and stand out. Because of my personal taste and affinity towards things that stand out, I realized I didn’t have a classic, all-black bag that I could carry with literally anything and everything. My taste has definitely been maturing and every purchase I make now is very calculated and I ask myself, “how much use could I get out of this item?”

I think it’s definitely important for every girl (especially those who work that 9-5) to have a great, investment, black bag. This is a teaser and I won’t let you guys know which one I got…yet!-blog post soon ūüėČ But below are a few picks for every price range.

The everyday tote: Rebecca Minkoff MAB in Medium
Trendy & classic for the petite girl: Rebecca Minkoff Amourus Satchel
Roomy & Trendy: Michael Kors Selma
Sleek & Simple: Saint Laurent Sac de Jour
For the trendy girl on the go: Alexander Wang Rockie
The ultimate splurge: Celine Mini Luggage

My must-have checklist for my investment  black-bag:
-easy to carry on my arm (can you see a pattern with the top handles above? :P)
-big enough so I can carry my long wallet, camera, small make up pouch

What is your ideal black-bag and what kind of features do you look for?
